Description: When popular South Florida TV sports personality Jim Berry wanted to create a charity event, he came to Game Plan. The Sports Director of CBS-4 in Miami has a passion for tennis, and the inaugural Jim Berry Tennis Classic was born. The event included dozens of South Florida teaching pros paired with amateurs in heated Pro-Am competition plus special appearances and exhibitions featuring a variety of celebrities including Miami Dolphins' stars Jay Fiedler and David Bowen, former Heat/NBA all-star Tim Hardaway, and tennis legends Fred Stolle, Cliff Drysdale, Gardnar Mulloy and Butch Buchholz. There were also family-oriented activities, live and silent auctions, and a unique "challenge" promotion where a doubles team made a donation and had the chance to win a trip by beating the celebrity duo of Berry & Stolle.
